Unlike the common cold or other minor ailments that people mistakenly call “the flu,” real influenza is a major illness that can have life-threatening complications, especially for people of certain ages or with specific high-risk conditions.
In this short video, Dr. Ben Kruskal, Chief of Infectious Disease at Harvard Vanguard, answers commonly-asked questions about the flu and the flu vaccine.
Harvard Vanguard practice sites are receiving shipments of their flu vaccine supply and will be scheduling appointments for seasonal flu vaccination as long as supply lasts. Our practice locations below offer flu vaccination for adults and children over the age of 6 months – some have walk-in clinics, but many require an appointment.
PLEASE NOTE: it’s always a good idea to call a practice at the number below, which has been set up specifically for flu vaccine information, or go to our website by clicking here. We update our website frequently with changes to walk-in clinic times or as availability of the vaccine changes.
